SPARTA, KENTUCKY; Wednesday, June 18th, the Sportsman drivers of the FFRL headed to Sparta, Kentucky to race the 1.5 mile, D-shaped track, that only appears once in the schedule.  Racing at Kentucky, drivers quickly learned the multiple grooves that would provide excellent racing throughout.  And these Sportsman drivers proved so throughout the race and the photo finish at the end.  In practice, it was quickly learned that...

With the FFRL CSCS Series having just three races to go in the first half of the season, it's time to start preparing the rosters for the first running of the IROC Series that begins on July 10th.  Those that have not signed up, it is not too late.  Head on over to the "join" section of the website and just add the IROC series to the application so we can have your car color reserved.

The FFRL IROC series will be a very unique series with custom point standings where 1st place will receive 10 points, 2nd is 9, etc..  Positions out of 10th will receive 0 points.  1 point is awarded for the driver leading at least 1 lap and 1 point is awarded to the driver leading the most laps.  With this scoring system, we are looking for a very tight point running.  The "Incident Point" system will also not be put in place in regards to what drivers are used to.  Instead of the current format, drivers causing incidents will be fined "points".  We are looking forward to the debut of this new series as drivers voted it in at the end of the 2007 season.
